This ancient Ghanaian story is about two TWINS, magnificent in beauty. They were extremely alike in appearance and also the way they spoke. The resemblance was such that only God coult tell the difference.
They did everything in common. They ate the same food, they slept on the same bed, they sang the same songs, they had their bath together. Indeed their lives was but a single life. It came as a shock when they decided to marry the same man against the tradition of the village.
The elders did not allow them. They were filled with so much sorrow that they refused to come out again.
When their door was finally forced opened, they only found two beautiful stones extremely alike, in shape and form. |
